About VirTek
VirTek is a small development team that specializes in the development of maps and mods for Unreal Tournament 3. As a VirTek member, we don't just do it for the contests, or chances to win big. We also do it because we enjoy it. We can express how we feel within our maps. When can make and take control of environments that we want to. It’s only a hobby to us; some people do it for the change to get a job at Epic Games. Which we appreciate that too, that another reason we do it, some just do it for competitions just to win money.
We will enter competitions our self’s, because we don't want to see our talent go to waste. We see we have a chance to win, we will take that chance. But we were doing it for fun long before any major contest was up. VirTek would like to stay free to all of those gamers out there. But there are no doubt members in this team that will make a map or mod so good, that they want to sell it. Can you blame them; you would sell a mod if you had the chance.
The thing with VirTek is we are not just Mapper’s or Modder’s for Unreal Tournament 3, we are also very big fans of the game and we also love to play it. So when we make our maps or mods, we do it in passion of the game play and how it feels to play. VirTek doesn't want any major popularity, so if you are one that mods just for money and wants prestige for the mods. Then this is no place for you.
